  1. After I've spent the afternoon adding new items to the shop I thought I'd best update the blog - I know I'm hopeless at keeping it up-to-date! I never know quite what to talk about!

Last month had its share of weather in our village. Unfortunately we were featured twice on the national news when several properties and one of the village pubs were flooded and then we had our share of the blizzard which happened a couple of weeks ago, leaving hundreds of motorists stranded, some of whom spent the night in our neighbouring village of Nether Stowey, in the village hall.

I love snow myself, but am lucky enough to work in a job where if the weather was bad the world wouldn't fall apart if I couldn't get in to work, so we'd just hunker down and wait for it to thaw!

Last weekend found me in Cheltenham with my two lovely twitter buddies Karen and Brigitte. We had booked ourselves a girly weekend, staying at the lovely Hanover House B&B (www.hanoverhouse.org) and dining at Monty's Brasserie (www.montysbraz.co.uk) . The weekend passed all too quickly and we had a lovely time catching up on all the gossip and enjoying a cocktail or two with some shopping thrown in on Sunday morning! We have promised ourselves to do it again soon!

Next weekend we're taking the lovely Bella and The Moo to the village pantomime, which this year is Rapunzul. Oh no we're not ....! I'll let you know all about it next time!

  2. After spending the afternoon listing new items on the website I promised myself I would update the blog. I'm not very good at keeping it up-to-date as I never seem to know what to ramble on about!

We seem to have been subject to quite a lot of weather since I last blogged, with our village twice appearing on the national news when several properties and one of our village pubs flooded during the heavy rains and recently the blizzard visited us and several dozen motorists were stranded in our neighbouring village Nether Stowey and had to spend the night in the village hall! Personally I love the snow, but am lucky enough to work in a job where the world wouldn't stop spinning if I couldn't get there and so hubby and I would just hunker down for the duration if things got really bad!

Next weekend we are taking the gorgeous Bella and The Moo (my inspiration!) to the village pantomime Rapunzul ... oh no we're not! The girls haven't been to the panto before and are very much looking forward to it! I'll tell you all about it next time!.
