Wednesday's thoughts ...

Posted on

I've just returned home from another long, busy day at the office, via the Post Office (to post my niece's birthday card to Australia) and the supermarket (to pick up veg for tea and more loo rolls for work!) and started wondering just what life would like without all these mundane every tasks?

Would I, for instance, lose that weight that's always bothered me; learn to speak a foreign language; visit all those places I've only looked in the atlas at? Or would I just get fatter, speak less and stay at home all day? How many of us ever really get the chance to do exactly what we want with our lives, other than for two weeks of the year on our annual summer holiday, or when we retire and we're too old or frail to do the things we've always dreamed about?

It got me thinking about the answer to the Miracle Question - If I could wake up tomorrow morning and my life be how I wanted it to be, what would it look like? I'm not sure if I know the answer yet ... but it is nice to keep asking the question, if only to keep me focussed on my goals and aims, which are to give up the day job and do what I now love best, which is to sew and create. If I could make enough money from that to live comfortably I think that would be my Miracle!
