Lovely Sunday

Hello and sorry I've been so slack lately with the blog - I've lost a bit of mojo and let everything else take precedence, rather than concentrating on this, which is why Steve decided it would be lovely for us to have a day out yesterday. I was given the choice of what kind of day out we had and just fanced mooching about somewhere old, where we could look in shop windows, have coffee and just let the world go by.

We're very lucky to live within an hour's drive of Devon, Dorset, Gloucester and Wilsthire, but I do love Dorset, to we chose to head off to Sherborne and Shaftesbury. The weather was really kind to us. I've never been to Sherborne before, but will certainly be back (especially when the shops are open!). Its absolutely beautiful!

We had coffee and toasted teacakes in Sherborne, before heading off to Shaftesbury. Steve had always (apparently) wanted to see the famous Hovis Hill where the ads were filmed. Its very pretty, but nowhere near as long as you think it would be. Still its something to tick off his Bucket List!! lol

We found a lovely pub and had the most fab carvery - we thought it wasn't going to be up to much as the young man who served us didn't seem to have much of a clue, but the food was really lovely. Steve had the tenderest roast beef and I had roast pork with crunchy crackling!!

As it was still quite early when we finished in Shaftesbury, we came back via Glastonbury. Its always a treat, as there are so many interesting and diverse people to see! There was a Goddess Convention taking place, so lots of ladies wearing the same colour turquoise with flower garlands in their hair - all shapes and sizes, old and young. It was lovely to see.

Back to earth with a bump today when I found myself wide awake at 4.15am and cleaning by 6am!! I really need to learn to chill!!
